Initially founded in 2023 as a for-profit entity, RE.VOLVS has now established itself as a certified 501(c) (3) non-profit. While our mission remains unchanged, our organization has evolved through the support, passion, and engagement of industry leaders each who share a common goal of expanding our operations and broadening our reach to "evolve the world's view of reuse..." and to serve those in need.
As a team, our Board provides the expertise and knowledge required to positively impact the environment, expand our channels for the distribution of reclaimed materials, and most importantly favorably impact our communities through charitable donations and related programs to make the world a better place.

Kathy brings decades of experience to the Board having worked and served in the reuse and deconstruction space for many of the leaders within the market. Her journey in historical preservation began in 2007, when as an antique dealer and architectural historian, Kathy took notice of a historic estate which was slated to be demolished in her home town. Seeing an opportunity to preserve the rich history of the estate, Kathy quickly negotiated with a local demolition company to rescue as much of the materials as possible and the rest is as they say history! Soon thereafter, Kathy founded Character Builders Salvage & Design which created a retail outlet offering a vast array of reclaimed materials to the public.
In 2013 Character Builders was acquired by one of the leaders in the deconstruction market in the Midwest.
Kathy has held many positions within the reuse marketplace overseeing the donation process while managing the warehousing and sales of hundreds of thousands of tons of reclaimed materials annually. Bringing her vast experience to the team, Kathy now serves as the Director, Donation Administration for RE.VOLVS working directly with clients and our partners to preserve valuable assets while doing good within the communities we serve.
